Authorities in Orange County have arrested a 66-year-old man, Robert Mario Perri, for allegedly exposing himself to multiple women in the Laguna Woods community. Perri was taken into custody on Tuesday and booked into the Orange County Jail on charges of indecent exposure.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Department began investigating after three women reported incidents of exposure this month. These women, all older adults, described encounters both inside and outside their homes. Investigators believe there may be additional victims, as other incidents have also been reported to security personnel at the Laguna Woods retirement community.
According to the sheriff’s office, Perri is accused of following his victims to their homes in a white Ford Mustang convertible. He would later return to expose himself to them. The incidents have raised concerns within the tight-knit community, which primarily consists of retirees.
Perri does not have a prior criminal history, making this case particularly alarming for residents. The sheriff’s department is urging anyone with more information or similar experiences to come forward. They can contact the special victims unit at (714) 647-7419 or report tips anonymously to Orange County Crime Stoppers at (855) 847-6227.
This arrest highlights the need for vigilance and communication within communities, especially in places where residents may feel particularly safe.
