Authorities in Orange County have arrested a 66-year-old man from Laguna Woods for allegedly exposing himself to at least three women in the area. Robert Mario Perri was taken into custody on Tuesday and booked into the Orange County Jail on charges of indecent exposure, as confirmed by the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
The sheriff’s special victims unit received formal complaints this month from three women who reported incidents of exposure. These incidents reportedly occurred both inside and outside their homes. Additionally, several other similar incidents have been reported to security personnel at the Laguna Woods retirement community, which is primarily made up of older residents.
Investigators say Perri followed his victims to their homes in a white Ford Mustang convertible and later returned to expose himself. All three women who filed formal reports are older, according to Lt. Matt Timmins from the Sheriff’s Department.
Perri does not have a prior criminal history, and investigators believe there may be more victims who have not yet come forward. They are encouraging anyone with information to reach out to the Sheriff’s Department’s special victims unit or to report tips anonymously through Orange County Crime Stoppers.
The majority of Laguna Woods is part of a private, gated retirement community, raising concerns about safety among its residents. This case highlights the need for vigilance in communities where many residents may be vulnerable.
